We are in the base of a Ski resort, the most importan in South America. In winter you gone a be in the center of the ski resort. In summer its a peacfull place but you can do a lot of sport and live a diferents expirience. | | Directions | Hotel Knapp has the best location at the base station of cerro Catedral ski resort, has direct access to the ski courts and lifts, has a shopping center near and most of the ski lifts and cable cars. Argentina and Chile have a good road system with modern buses for long distance transport. The railway system is slow and in many cases services are no longer provided. There are different buses or "colectivos" with normal seats and others with leaning seats that become beds (coche supercama, servicio ejecutivo). Depending on the route there are different services and prices.
Patagonian cities in Argentina such as: San Carlos de Bariloche, El Calafate, Rio Gallegos and Ushuaia have modern international airports with daily flights from Buenos Aires and also some connect flights with other airports although flights are not so frequent. The airlines flying these routes are: (Aerolíneas Argentinas, Austral, LAN Argentina) For small towns the state company LADE provides services, flights are less frequent and smaller planes are used. For international flights in Argentina a U$18 airport tax is charged which is not included in the airfare. (It can be paid cash or by credit card)
In winter season (June to September) there are regular flights from Brasil (Sao Paulo) served by TAM airlines.
How to get to Hotel Knapp and to cerro Catedral ski resort base station?
Cerro Catedral ski resort base station it is at 1030 meters above sea level it is located at 17 km from downtown area of Bariloche and 34 km from the local International airport of San Carlos de Bariloche. The bus station is located at the entrance Bariloche, at 19 km away from cerro Catedral ski resort.
From the airport you may take a taxi or remis as well as a regular bus line which goes to the downtown area, there you should commute to another bus line which goes to cerro Catedral ski resort base station. For getting a confirmation of your booking you have to do a 30% deposit.
The balance of payment is due 15 days prior to check-in date.
Only if you pay your full balance you get the rates as quoted.
Cancellation policy
We will not return any payment which you have already done. If you cancel your booking your payments will be for future lodging payments of the same person, previously subtracting Cancellation fees.
More than 30 days before check-in date, non Cancellation fee.
From 29 to 15 days before check-in day, we charge 20% of the total booking balance as cancellation fee.
Less than 15 days before check-in date, we charge 100% of the total booking balance as Cancellation fee.
Refund policy
We do not accept changes or refunds for bookings which have already been confirmed and paid due to transportation (overland or plane) problems or delays neither due to climate conditions that resulting directly or indirectly from natural disaster, detention, annoyance, delays and expenses from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majeure, act of God, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulation, discrepancies or change in transit. We only accept changes to booking dates if Catedral ski resort is closed during the winter season from 10th of July to 30th of September. In this case we give a 100% credit to use in a later date subject to availability.
Changes
If you have to change your booking date due to climate conditions or /and force majeure not due to Hotel Knapp acts, the costs for this kind of situations are exclusively at the guest responsibility and expense.
